Project 110: Week 2

I have just finished 6 bite size pieces of Crunch and Baby Ruth. Halloween leftovers. Week 2 has passed and it's a little (bite size little) better than the first.

I ended my previous post on this project saying I wanted to have a crabless and beerless week. I am happy to say I had no crab (Yay!) but slipped one day with a couple of Heinekens (Dang it!). It's Halloween week. Excuse number one. It's two freakin' cans in seven days. Excuse number two. I had two long walks this week. Excuse number three.

Here's a look at week # 2:

Day 10- 10.25.11

5:15 am - coffee + creamer

9:04 am - 1 banana + 1 bottle of water

9:09 am - stretching routine

9:30 am - walked for 1 hour and 35 minutes (Don Castro)

10:56 am - 4 pcs. grilled zucchini and 1.5 beef bbq patties (leftovers) + 1 glass of Lite Cranberry juice with 1 packet of Splenda

2:00 pm - small bowl of Lay's plain potato chips

4:00 pm - 7 slices of apples

5:00 pm - small bowl of tuna casserole + salad + water

Day 11 - 10.26.11

5:15 am - coffee + creamer

8:30 am - 1 hamburger + water

11:30 am - half a bag of pork rinds (!@#$%^&*!@#$)

2:30 pm - remaining bag of pork rinds !@#$%!@#$%^!@#$%^&*!@#$)

4:45 pm - 1 Diet Sunkist

6:00 pm - pinoy beef steak with onions and rice

Day 12 - 10.27.11

5:15 am - coffee + creamer

9:00 am - small bowl of pinoy beef steak with onions + rice (leftovers) + water

1:30 pm - 1 bag of buttered popcorn + 1 Diet Sunkist

5:00 pm - beef stew with lots of veggies (no rice! :))

Day 13 - 10.28.11

5:00 am - coffee + creamer

7:40 am - Cheezits + water

12:22 pm - 1 Heineken and a small bowl of Lay's plain potato chips

1:30 pm - carnitas plate + Dibs ice cream

2:30 pm - small bowl of Lay's plain potato chips + 1 Heineken

6:00 pm - salad

6:30 pm - small bowl of beef Hamburger Helper + water

Day 14 - 10.29.11

6:15 am - coffee + creamer

8:15 am - 3 macarons (vanilla, pistachio & coffee) from La Boulange(nyam-nyam!)

9:40 am - 1 cappuccino at Beach Hut

1:30 pm - teeny tiny bowl of spanish chorizo & 9 mini mozzarella sticks + 1 Diet Dr. Pepper

2:00 pm - 1 bottle of water

7:00 pm - tiny slice of chocolate cake

Day 15 - 10.30.11

7:00 am - coffee + creamer

7:30 am - coffee + creamer

9:30 am - Honey Bunches of Oats + 2% milk

9:40 am - 2.5 mini mozzarella sticks + water

11:00 am - 1 mini burrito

2:00 pm - walked with Johnny for 1.5 hours (Lake Chabot)

3:40 pm - mango smoothie, coke, curly fries and a crispy chicken sandwich (all shared with John) from Jack In A Box

7:15 pm - small bowl of rice and ground beef with potatoes and carrots + 1 Diet Sunkist

Day 16 - 10.31.11 (Halloween)

5:00 am - coffee + creamer

8:15 am - 2 boiled eggs with salt + water

10:20 am - 1 boiled egg with salt

11:57 am - 1 boiled egg with salt

3:40 pm - 1 small slice of lemon pound cake

4:00 pm - 1 small slice of lemon pound cake

4:06 pm - 1 pack M&M's

6:30 pm - rice, steak & broccoli

7:00 pm - 1 mini pack of Reese's pieces

Lesson # 1: Stay off the sweets!!! Even the Diet sodas. Don't even buy em.

Lesson # 2: Walk/exercise more.

Lesson # 3: Stay away from the new mexican place downtown.

I am still optimistic. I know I'll reach my goal. There's no question about it. Maybe one question. When. But I'll get there.

I was on a shoot this weekend with a beautiful couple from San Jose, Roxana and Anthony. We were at Crissy Fieldwalking towards the beach surrounded by people jogging and biking past us when I made a comment about my lack of exercise. Roxana told me she just recently lost 40 lbs. (and Anthony 30 lbs.). I incredulously asked how, secretly thinking that that's the exact amount of weight I'm trying to lose. She explained they were on Jenny Craig, join the Beta Breakers every year and try to run everyday as much as possible. I am not one who believes in coincidence and I believe, in some weird way, this is the Universe's way of telling me that there's hope, that it's doable. Thank you Roxana and Anthony for the inspiration you've given me and here's to a healthier and more active week 3!
